Changing the approach to business consulting.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   Thursday, August 4, 2022 -  Vancouver, BC.    Partners Betty Hasker and Glorie Averbach are disrupting the way we view the business consulting industry. Their agency, myCEO, provides a human-centric approach to business development, strategic planning, as well as growth and change management for companies of all sizes across Canada.

“We’re not coming at this from theory. We’ve walked in our client’s shoes. We know what keeps them up at night. We’ve been there, done that.” – Glorie Averbach

Both Betty and Glorie have previously founded, owned, managed, and executed succession plans with their own businesses independently of each other before joining forces and creating their consulting dynamo, aptly named myCEO. The duo each saw coaching as a logical progression in their careers. Sharing their experiences, cultivating business acumen with the next generation of business owners, and empowering young female-led businesses is the opportunity of a lifetime for both women. Their professional experiences combine more than 50 years of leadership expertise and offer a lens that few business coaches have. This unique perspective enables them to coach others through the entrepreneurial journey, understanding their problems, goals, needs, thinking, emotions, and behavior to develop effective growth plan solutions. MyCEO infuses humanity into the strategic journey of a business to assist the brand in attaining better engagement with their team, their audience, and the market, thus maximizing the brand’s impact.

“We don’t offer cookie-cutter or templated business solutions – while there are similar “invisible threads” that run through all businesses, every company, team, situation, opportunity, or challenge is unique to that entity, and our role is to uncover that, then coach and support the team moving forward with planning and action.”

– Betty Hasker, MyCEO

Consumer and B2B expectations have changed dramatically post-pandemic. Customers no longer hope a brand has what they want they expect a brand to have exactly what they want. It is no longer enough for any brand to “put people first”. Successful brands must cultivate a deep empathy with their audiences demonstrated in their corporate identity, branding, language, and behaviour. Social responsibility, ethical sourcing, and sustainability all factor into consumer and B2B buying decisions. Every business has a unique set of needs and goals, so the duo partners with their client companies to explore new ideas, inspire strategic thinking and build action plans that align with the vision and aspirations of the businesses they coach. As an ally, myCEO works from within, focusing on the corporate team members and the brand customers creating an environment where everyone wins.

ABOUT myCEO Founded in 2014 by Betty Hasker, partner Glorie Averbach joined a few years later upon the sale of her company. Now, this dynamic duo is offering businesses the benefits of their experience through bespoke coaching programs. In addition to coaching, myCEO also offers meeting and workshop facilitation.

The agency has developed a strategic partnership with Women in Tech World and they have been providing Mastermind sessions for the group over the past four years. In keeping with their corporate ethos, the team shares their time and mentors several groups within the community; Business Mentors for Futurpreneur, Business Mentors for The Forum (formerly The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs), Mentor for YELL – Youth Entrepreneur Leadership Launchpad; Crofton School Hackathon; SCWIST Annual Job Fair.

Both women are founding members of The Impact Arts Society.
